How it works on iPhone and Android
Every iPhone since the iPhone 7 and virtually all recent Android phones can read the card, with no app to install. If a phone can't tap, the camera scans the QR code on the same card.
On iPhone
- Tap the card to the top of the iPhone — a notification appears at the top of the screen.
- Tap the notification and your profile opens in the browser.
- Tap "Create New Contact" at the bottom. Everything fills in automatically; tap Done to save.
On Android
- Hold the card to the center of the phone. (On some phones, NFC needs to be switched on in Settings.)
- Open the link in Chrome, then tap Open on the download notification.
- The contact imports automatically, or they tap Import to save it.
